here is a top ten list of my fav games with MARIO in the title.
10 -super mario land 2(GB)- one of my favorite mario games on the gameboy. it was alittle more like nes mario games. and it was the introduction of one of my favorite cahracters WARIO. who could forget te commercials of wario tryign to hypnotize ya.- look like it worked on me i still love him.
9 - Super Paper Mario (wii)- never really a fan of the paper mario series.even thogh i like roleplaying games, there was jsut to much story to read through it even took about a half an hour to get to the start of this one.but i love side scrollers and this gave me the classic mario feel but with a lil role palying and more. and i like games where you can control luigi.
8 - Mario Basball/Mario tennis (gamecube/n64/wii)- this was a top ten so i didnt wanna get rid of either one cause i love them jsut a s much so there a tie for 8th.
never loved tennis so much till this gaem came out on n64. never palyed a sports game so much either that wasnt EA. the controls were simple. it also tought me how to teach score for tennis. Mario baseball was the funnest basbeball game i play me and a few of my friends had or own season going with the GC version. i like the addition to more characters in the new one but dont like how they dont keep stats anymore.
7 - Mario Galaxy (wii)- mario 3d gaems arent as fun as mario side scrollers but this game had me palying it even after i beat. it was a good story line and a fun new way to play mario.
6 - Mario PArty (all)- aint no party like a mario party cause a mario party dont stoooop.im not gonna name a certain one here cause there all basilly the saem to me jsut different mini games and boards plus i only play like 4 or 5 of them out of the 8 that are out. I had hours of fun playign this games with friends, id even play it by myself sometimes. I havent really played one mini game i ddint like (honestly im trying to think of on and i cant)Adding on the mic was a good idea and for once playing a wii game with the wiimote wasnt complicated of frustrating.no other party gaem came close to mario party eccept a game for ps2 with shrek characters in it.
5 - Mario and luigi - partners in time (ds) this was a fun RPG and i love RPG's i like the original one for GBA too but since it wasnt mine i dont tihnk i beat it. I love having mario and luigi in games together. i like the addition to the baby marios and a couple of the trowbacks in it. i remember on room you had to hit ? bllocks from each game.
4 - Super mario RPg (snes)- ok i was a fan of mario games a fan of RGGs and a big fan of SNES. so imagine the excitment that came through my body when i found out they were coming out with mario rpg. ok so i wasnt that excited but i wa stoked when it came out. the story wasnt wasnt near as long nas the paper mario series. the graphics were real good for a snes game almost like DKC. we havent reallly seen mario like that before. i cant wait to get it for the virtual console cause i cant remeber if i beat it or not and i beat almost every mario game except Super mario bros 2 and super mario bros 2 (japan).
3 - NEW Super Mario Bros. (DS) - With the popularity of the roms and emulaters online i was dieing to play a new side scrolling mario and still cant believe it auctaully happened. i loved this game so much that i auctually went out and bought a new one cause i couldnt find mine and i beat it in less than a week even got all the coins. cant wait for the second one and hopefully it aint a revamp of part 2 the dreamland like othr fans want it to be. no offense to them but it wasnt even a mario game its like zelda 2. THis time they should have yoshi and be able to fly.
2 - Mario64 (n64) - the first game i bought and beat for n64 even loved palying it again with diifferent characters on the DS. this game was trully hours of fun and the best 3d platform mario game.oh the memorys
And now for my number one. is there even a question about it
1 Super MArio World (SNES)- handsdown the best mario game ever the most they put so much into this game. the worlds were hugewe got the introdustion of Yoshi and his freinds, the feather which gives youa cape, and the last game to give us the amazing koopa kids. We had the star world than after you beat that you had the specail world than after that everything would change, turtels became marios heads etc. I loved the world map the ghost houses all the secret levels especially the one obove the ghost house in world 2 where you could go get a yoshi and fire flower and feather.
man i love this game so much that i didnt have a snes and used to go to s omeones house who smelled like shit and llok like thhey didnt take baths and played it caus they would have problems with alot of th boards i auctaully beat it for 2 others freinds too. then of cousrse i got a snes then got mario world and beat that agian well after i beat megamanx which was my first snes game. i also remmber just stairing at pictures in nintendo power all day long wishing that the SNES and SMW would come out ASAP.
well that was my list i know alot of poeple wont agree with it and are wondering where mario 1 and 3 are. and dotn get me wrong they were both great games and jsut cause super mario bros 1 was the first gaem out doesnt mean it has to be on my list. i hate when people do that. it reminds of the vh-1 top songs of the 90's they would a good group but leave out ther best song and put there first becuase it made them famous.
But mario 1 and 3 would be right up there jsut after 10 a few other standouts for me were Mario kart DS and wii, super mario land 3 and mario vs. dk. now remeber this was a list of games with mario in the title not to have mario in it thats why super smash bros wastn onthis list
